The Rules

Rules that I have covered in my blog so far...

  • Rule #1: Focus on mastering the correct technique, not the end results. Once you master the basics, the good results you seek will follow on their own.
  • Rule #2: The only way you will be able to achieve the best results for yourself is to find the optimal balance between two extremes
  • Rule #3: There are no rules, especially when you figure out why they exist.
  • Rule #4: If you never ask for something you want, you will never get it.
  • Rule #5: Always live your life like it's your last day on Earth, because you never know when it's going to end.
  • Rule #6: There is no such thing as being the best or the worst. There is only such a thing as becoming the best or the worst that you can be.
  • Rule #7: We are always responsible for our own actions, and we'll always be accountable for them one way or another.
  • Rule #8: If you set goals with expectations that are too high, you'll find that you'll never accomplish any of them.
  • Rule #9: You can't change people. They either pretend to change or change because they want to.
  • Rule #10: If the cause of a problem is never found, there can never be a solution.
  • Rule #11: Only you can provide your own true inner peace. Relying on anything or anyone else is a distraction from your own discord.
  • Rule #12: Nothing is perfect, but that doesn't mean you can't do anything to improve on it
  • Rule #13: If you want something for yourself, go get it. No one ever owes you anything. Get over yourself.
  • Rule #14: Take some time out for yourself whenever you can and make the most out of it because one day, taking time off may not be by choice.
  • Rule #15: Life is like a poker game. Sometimes, you get a hand so bad that you can't win no matter how you play it. Other times, you get a hand so good that you can't lose no matter how you play it, and you'd have to intentionally squander your hand in order to lose. Then, there's all the hands in between, where it's up to you to make the most out of it and win.
  • Rule #16: Stop worrying. You have no idea how much time you're wasting and how you're not changing things by doing that.
  • Rule #17: Inspire change through positive encouragement and enact change through action.
  • Rule #18: Try something different, especially if the same thing isn't working for you. You won't know what will happen unless you do it for the first time.
  • Rule #19: Disagreeing with every solution, and working with none of them won't get you anywhere. Nothing is perfect the first time out, so try until you get it right. Find out why it doesn't work, and then work to fix it. You cannot progress if you stay in the same place as before.
  • Rule #20: Seek knowledge from different places in order to become a well-rounded figure, since knowledge is power.
  • Rule #21: Anyone can act tough when they have everything. It's only when these things disappear that a person's real strength of character is tested.
  • Rule #22: Being confident in yourself is knowing when to say no to something bad for you, even when it's hard. By subtracting the bad, you're able to add some more good in your life.
  • Rule #23: Learn from the past, acknowledge and embrace the present, and plan to improve for the future. By always looking to improve, you can push beyond plateaus, and much like time, you become limitless.
  • Rule #24: One time is an accident, twice is a coincidence and three times, you're doing something wrong that you need to change.
  • Rule #25: If you're not making mistakes in life, it means you're not learning and growing as a person.
  • Rule #26: By working and improving on all different sides and skills of your life, as you become more balanced, one improved area of your life will improve on another area of life, which will improve on another area. It's the reason why it's best to seek a balance.
  • Rule #27:There’s a time and place for everything and the best way to get the most out of those moments is to realize when it begins and when it ends.
  • Rule #28: Easy come, easy go. If you expect something to stay and work for you, expect to devote some time and effort to it, even if it doesn’t do anything for you at first.
